I read a reddit post from a guy in NYC who got blocked because somehow his internet goes through Virginia... Perhaps the same happened to you?

Actually seems that without using a VPN his geolocation is sometimes identified as Ashburn and my rudimentary understanding is that there's a lot of internet data that goes through storage facilities in Ashburn. At any rate, seems the impact is potentially more widespread than state residents depending on wifi.[/quote]

Sportsbooks and online casinos have, for many years, been relying on presumably similar methods for correctly identifying the state where someone is located (and preventing the use of VPNs to disguise that), and I haven't heard of any lawsuits successfully  challenging them on this.[/quote]

There is nothing in the Constitution explicitly protecting gambling. Porn is protected by the First Amendment. Obscenity is not, of course, but porn is. It could be framed as a free speech issue. [/quote]
