At least from my viewpoint, they appear to be a very loving family.
Who has a surrogate have a baby when they’re already pregnant with another? This feels like family manufacturing, not need.
She explained it quite nicely on her IG. She met the surrogate with John and they both immediately knew she was 'the one' and they became friends. Chrissy said she also had a moment of clarity and told John that she wanted to try 1 more time to carry on her own and if it ended badly, then so be it. They'd already been through the worst pain imaginable so she knew they could survive anything. They did 1 more round of IVF and she became pregnant with Esti who was born first. The surrogate was then implanted with this embryo months later, IMO, probably after she passed a point where she felt her pregnancy was going to be viable.
That explanation doesn't make a lot of sense. She passed the point of viability in her own pregnancy and then decided to go ahead with the surrogacy? Why? If she was happy with trying 1 more time why did she double down with the surrogacy as well. Maybe it makes sense in her own warped mind but the explanation makes no sense as you described it. Why not just say "because I felt like it."
Because they wanted 4 kids, not 3. If you read the post instead of attacking people's summaries you might understand, but given the "warped mind" accusation it seems you just want to fling barbs at a celebrity you don't like.
Where in the post does it say "we wanted 4 not 3". I was addressing that summary. And people who taunt and bully kids online are warped. She has earned any disrespect she gets.
Literally the first sentence of her long explainer says she always wanted 4 children.
Why didn't they wait a bit if they were going the surrogate route? Let the five month old have the time she needs?
I don't know, why did I have a six year age gap instead of a three year age gap between my kids? Because having babies, with a surrogate or otherwise, is not something you can schedule. Remember surrogates are people too, with their own timeframe and personal/professional commitments to attend to. It's not like doordash for babies.
Lots of people schedule their babies. Especially with surrogates.
True. But (and I know logic can be tricky) that does not mean, logically or biologically, that everyone can always schedule their babies.
Lots does not equal everyone. Obviously. But we're talking about IVF and surrogacy. These are highly planned and scheduled events. I don't know why people are arguing otherwise. These aren't oops, random, or unplanned in any way.
Have you done IVF or surrogacy? If so, please do not pretend to know what you are talking about. Any guess how many of the six years I was doing IVF and/or surrogacy before my daughter was born? Any idea how it feels to be running up against the clock? Feeling like every cycle is your last? If not, then kindly STFU.
You STFU. I conceived two kids with ART. Chrissy was already pregnant when she tried with the surrogate for one more. Simple facts. This was highly orchestrated and planned.
Are you talking about the person who has had at least 1 late term loss? That person? Then she is more than welcome to try every avenue to complete her family. You ascribe some nefarious intent to this person, and it is totally unhinged and not supported by the fact.s
I'm talking to the person who doesn't understand that somehow this wasn't all random. Of course it was. But it's a discussion board and we're allowed to discuss completing a family by any means possible and whether or not surrogacy is ethical, especially for women who already have large families. Like Chrissy or Hilaria. Pretending surrogacy is a beautiful gift and ignoring the ethics is disingenuous. That she is "more than welcome" is just one opinion. Other opinions may vary.
