She explained it quite nicely on her IG. She met the surrogate with John and they both immediately knew she was 'the one' and they became friends. Chrissy said she also had a moment of clarity and told John that she wanted to try 1 more time to carry on her own and if it ended badly, then so be it. They'd already been through the worst pain imaginable so she knew they could survive anything. They did 1 more round of IVF and she became pregnant with Esti who was born first. The surrogate was then implanted with this embryo months later, IMO, probably after she passed a point where she felt her pregnancy was going to be viable.   [/quote]

If she was happy with trying 1 more time why did she double down with the surrogacy as well. Maybe it makes sense in her own warped mind but the explanation makes no sense as you described it. I don't know, why did I have a six year age gap instead of a three year age gap between my kids? Because having babies, with a surrogate or otherwise, is not something you can schedule. Remember surrogates are people too, with their own timeframe and personal/professional commitments to attend to. It's not like doordash for babies. [/quote]

I'm talking to the person who doesn't understand that somehow this wasn't all random. Of course it was. But it's a discussion board and we're allowed to discuss completing a family by any means possible and whether or not surrogacy is ethical, especially for women who already have large families. Like Chrissy or Hilaria. Pretending surrogacy is a beautiful gift and ignoring the ethics is disingenuous. That she is "more than welcome" is just one opinion. Other opinions may vary.[/quote]
