Unfortunately, the teaching pool is very weak these days and salaries aren't the most attractive. So if someone is willing to teach (hopefully well) only for as long as their child is there, then that's actually a decent tenure. Also, teachers with children at the school tend to care more about ensuring that the school is a good place to be. It's the dinosaurs who hold on with zero connection but the paycheck because they can't get a job elsewhere, that are the biggest threats.[/quote]
