[twitter]https://twitter.com/SawyerHackett/status/1613603969867055131[/twitter]
Now, do the number of days the classified materials were held in unsecured locations. And, how many people had access to the material. Who had the keys to the office at the Penn Biden center? Who had access to the keys to the house in Delaware (apparently owned by Hunter)? Where else were the Biden classified materials held? The Penn Biden center didn't open for over a year after Biden left office.
So you forgive Trump for his classified materials?
That’s a nice deflection. Biden did not have authority to view documents outside a scif. He could have built a scif at his office in DC or at his house in Delaware. Clearly the Corvette shows that he had some coin. And frankly as a former VP, writing a memoir, he could have probably had it paid for by the government. But he didn’t and one of the things regular feds like me are told over and over is that carelessness with classified documents does not absolve us of legal or professional discipline. Stop deflecting with “whataboutism.”
Agree 100%. They are both guilty of mishandling classified papers. Trump seemingly is ALSO guilty of not returning them over when they were found. feds and contractors are also scrutinized over computers and digital materials. Presumably after Snowden processes / protocols were reviewed to prevent such leaks. This should be SOP at every level. I’m tired of the “but that person did it worse” arguments. A functional government does not look at party affiliation. All these gotcha moments and you should ignore what x did bc y did it worse arguments are tiresome. The responsible bureaucrats need to do their jobs and work to get the holes closed.
