I think it's more that when you're "alone" in the world, you're outnumbered?  That's what happens on opinion posts, unless you're like Russia and have lots of private companies blogging for you?

However, I have noticed the Russian-sponsored bloggers not as active lately?

First, the situation is so fluid (ex. Kersh bridge) that Moscow is having trouble trying to spin it.  On one hand they want to suppress any news about the extent of the damage so they don't freak out their troops in Ukraine.  On the other hand Putin himself is shooting off his mouth blaming Ukraine - giving Ukraine the upper hand as being even more effective militarily (the original storyline was Russians were achieving victories all over the place, remember?).

Second, this could be an indicator that there are big issues in the Kremlin.  They way they probably work is they need official material approved by Moscow, but right now Moscow is in chaos.  Arrests, power struggles - I'm sure everyone is afraid to put out any propaganda at all for fear of offending someone.[/quote]
