Not only did WJLA hide the fact that the police department didn’t follow up on undelivered emails about the arrest, WJLA hasn’t bothered to update the timeline of the case at the bottom of the article.  It still has the police chief’s false statement from Friday that the superintendent was notified.

Has Youngkin retracted his statement attacking FCPS?  Has he vowed to look into the failure of the police department?  Has Miyares launched an investigation to protect the safety of our kids?

The issue is not that they tried to hide the fact. That doesn't appear to be the case at all. The issue is that they rushed out the story about the police sending the emails without waiting for the results of their FOIA request for the emails or for Chesterfield to confirm if the emails did or did not go through[/quote]
