I love how the NAACP called the community member that breached the NDA a ‘whistleblower’. Like there was some sort of illegal going ons with the process. Apparently, they thought they could force a candidate into the position with fake outrage. This whole ‘disrupt’ movement is out of control.
+1000 This, and any notion that this is a “grassroots” campaign by the NAACP and others is pure horse$hit. I would venture to say there is carefully orchestrated campaign even here on DCUM with many of these anti-FCPS threads and posts. There are deep pockets (ie Koch, DeVos) whose sole interest is in dismantling public education. The more chaos there is, the happier they are.
Can you explain how Koch and DeVos-affiliated groups persuaded the NAACP to issue a press release yesterday (1) crapping over the entire FCPS selection process but (2) squarely endorsing one candidate (Logan) over the other (Reid). It was folks like Sujatha Hampton, the education chair of the Fairfax NAACP, who were reaching out to all their contacts urging them to contact the School Board to complain and lobby for Logan, not any of the local conservatives. Sounds like you're just trying to obfuscate the fact that your friends now have egg all over their faces (since Logan apparently had pulled out a week earlier).
