False!  The mandates have always been situational, as circumstances warrant, and based on the numbers and advice of scientists and public health experts.  ALWAYS.  NOBODY was ever in favor of permanent mandates regardless of whether there's a pandemic or not.[/quote]

Yes, it's true that DC is not allowing schoolkids to unmask indoors, even though the CDC says that DC is in an area of "low" risk and that mask mandates (including in schools) are unnecessary.  DC is not following surrounding areas or other major cities, in lifting mask mandates for schools indoors.
