I followed the discussion just fine. It's about you freaking out that your kid is wearing a mask indoors. You're galvanizing the like-minded folx on the thread (who probably look like you too) to bring stakes to freedom plaza for the mayor and all female council members because they aren't "following the science."

I was just sharing that I'm not the only one who likes the warmth of their own coffee breath at drop-off and pick-up.

Its clear from your use of "folx," you signaling to readers that you are not only suuuuuper progressive, you are transgressive against the establishment and the English language! How exciting. How can you then support an arbitrary and restrictive mandate in place only for kids, but no one else? No frantic energy here, I'm just wondering why you care how other people live their lives, as long as they are following the almighty science?
