[/quote] This! Personally, I don't think the ID is a huge deal. Yes, some people have an issue getting an ID but that has to be a small piece of likely voters. What's hugely impactful is making it hard for people to get to the polls -- limiting mail in voting, getting rid of ballot drop boxes, cutting early voting hours. Republicans only want people to vote during limited hours on one specific day when lots of people need to be at work. And limit polling places so there are long lines that deter people from voting. None of those things that make voting easier logistically are a security risk. They just encourage more people to vote by making it easier for people with inflexible jobs, long hours, transportation limitations. And Democrats tend to use them more. If Republicans used them more Republicans would be up in arms about expanding voter access. But, since they don't, they want to cut them. Republicans are anti-democracy.[/quote]
