Loved it and wish it was less violent bc my 12 yo would really enjoy all of the themes in the show but no way am I showing him - way too brutal and gory.
I'm curious what your 12 year old typically watches and what else you haven't let them watch recently? Honestly, I was far more traumatized by movies I watched about the holocaust, slavery, civil rights, etc. than any horror movie or obviously fake film with shoot em up violence. Even as an adult I struggle with the more real life vile violence associated with historic events than stories that are so obviously fake. Kids tend to be more affected by real-life stories and events. I would never let my kids watch shows about kids being abused or kidnapped--THAT is traumatizing. Ditto for stories that center around parents as they divorce, etc.
