1. It isn’t ECNL’s fault if a sub is uncommitted. Lots of players are uncommitted. Do you seriously think coaches are going to watch committed players? 
2. Your coach is free to roster based on the needs of the team and players. Knowing that kids are still uncommitted a good coach who cares about their players will make sure that uncommitted players will get the exposure they need. Other teams are often in the same situation. “National Championships” don’t bring players in as much as long lists of commitments on the website.

If your coach is going all in to win a National Championship and sits your kid that really is between you and the coach. There are 4-5 “local” ECNL teams in the area, surely your player could have been a starter on one of them. [/quote]
