B. Yes.
C. I stand by advocating that the super expensive big events would serve the customers best by prioritizing recruiting over setting things up for some faux "national championship" for affluent teenage soccer talent once the player are past u16.
So your kid is option C. Very surprising
Regardless.
1. It isn’t ECNL’s fault if a sub is uncommitted. Lots of players are uncommitted. Do you seriously think coaches are going to watch committed players?
2. Your coach is free to roster based on the needs of the team and players. Knowing that kids are still uncommitted a good coach who cares about their players will make sure that uncommitted players will get the exposure they need. Other teams are often in the same situation. “National Championships” don’t bring players in as much as long lists of commitments on the website.
If your coach is going all in to win a National Championship and sits your kid that really is between you and the coach. There are 4-5 “local” ECNL teams in the area, surely your player could have been a starter on one of them.
Ok ..we have established that you are making money from this nonsense. ..... "a good coach who cares about their players will make sure that uncommitted players will get the exposure they need".
That or you are on the greatest team with the greatest players and the greatest coach and everyone else can piss off because life is just perfect for you.
You’ve established nothing. I’m just another parent guiding their kid through the same process that you are. I have offered several reasons why your kid will be fine and instead of accepting your situation you’d rather be stubborn and angry.
Your kid isn’t a starter, that doesn’t mean your kid isn’t talented, but it does mean that you have ALWAYS had a uphill battle. Regardless of the league patch college coaches don’t generally prioritize kids who are not even the best players on their club team. No matter what your club coach sold you about the recruiting prospects if your kid is not a starter YOUR kid needs to double the effort and in spite of that nothing is still guaranteed.
If your kid is in fact a rising senior you really need to go forward with a better attitude and accept the real situation she is in. The showcase is what it is now. The format does not need to affect your players playing time but she likely has been a sub for some time now. You can’t complain about it now.
Talk to your coach about her potential usage and what the plan will be for her.

Yet every year, thousands of kids are recruited and colleges are flush with talent. I don't know how it happens? Gosh
Step back. You know nothing.
I know plenty. Multiple players at multiple talent levels for years and years through all the garbage from the age change on. I know way too much about the youth soccer circus like lots of other soccer parents that pay for all this. Don't be so dismissive of your customers.
Unintelligible nonsense. Showcase to a playoff. What else can ENCL do. This has no bearing on the post season. ECNL is the best league for youth soccer hands down. Don't like it, don't play. Why you crybabies troll this forum is beyond me.
This is where you are wrong. Look at the published ECNL Rules:
"The ECNL Champions League will have 29 Automatic Qualifiers based solely on conference games as outlined above. After the Automatic Qualifiers are determined, all other teams will be eligible for wildcard consideration. The wildcard pool will be ranked based on points-per-game from ALL games played - including conference games and national event games. The top three (3) teams in the wildcard pool will qualify for the ECNL Champions League.

If coaches show up and your kid is playing what do you care?
Also, you should probably start to read the room. Most here think it will work out for your kid. You are free to not believe it but ultimately we really don’t care about your kid or you at this point.
So, feel free to disagree and also feel free to just go away with what most believe is nothing more than a problem in your own head.
It ia a soccer forum to discuss issues. You are the one with no issues wasting your time in here. Go back to your fantasy world of youth soccer perfection and enjoy.
You are projecting a problem. People here are trying to be supportive and reassure you that your kid will be seen.
If your kid can’t get on the field and isn’t a starter then whose GD fault is that?
It is a simple way to improve the event. No need for foul language. Relax.
The event has no bearing on player usage.
Disagree. The parameters of the event can be set to encourage showcasing and deemphasize focus on outcomes. This is tiresome. Good luck to your player(s).
Sorry that your player is a sub. That isn’t ECNL’s fault.

lo. wrong. I don't think this could get more tiresome but there it is. The same old same old "your player sucks" that pollutes every conversation. Congratulation on being so mundane.
