Elrich supporters are both "old money" and truly low-income people. The others are younger, people of color, low-income renters who want and/or benefit from rent control, from the less wealthy parts of TP (like Ward 6 and 4) and Silver Spring. Union employees, service workers and such.

Blair supporters tend to be "new money" of all age groups. Older wealthy people, successful UMC Gen Xers (the DCUM cohort) who made it in private sector careers, and younger well-off urban professionals who adhere to the more technocratic YIMBY take on housing - though these people like Hans Riemer as well. The "new money" cohort is anti-Elrich more than anything. [/quote]
