I must be naive and sheltered because if the government took my kids I would work night and day to get them back. Not only because the pain would be unbearable but because the instability of foster care can't be good even if certain foster parents are good. Complete adoption is different to me and several friends have adopted and those kids are leading a life with continuity and predictability. If had an addiction or other illness that took up all my time so I couldn't parent or provide at a minimal level then maybe ? but Shamika's mom hasn't shown that in the podcast yet. I am far from a perfect parent but no one is going to love and care about my kids the way I do as their mom. [/quote]
