Scrambler was a two-door designation for CJ-7’s with a pick up bed. Gladiator was the name for the full size Wagoneer chassis/J10 with a pick up bed.

The Gladiator name is actually appropriate given the vehicle classification as a half-ton pick up.

Yes. But you and I are probably the only two people on DCUM who know what a CJ-8 was. (or a CJ-6, or 5, or 3, or 3B, or 2A). More people might remember a CJ-7 though. [/quote]

Lots of Jeep/Wrangler owners around who know.  We looked at the Gladiator but didn't like the videos we saw off roading because of the long wheel base.  Got a Rubicon and LOVE it.[/quote]
