Last fall I watched several times the most highly regarded girl from this area in the class of '20, MM, as far as being a member of the U20 women's national team. She did not stand out at all as far as technique is concerned. In fact, if I didn't know who she was I would have barely paid any attention to her. She's fast and a really excellent athlete.
In that case suggest the USNMT to replace all its players with the track team. I bet the have great athletes.
Most of the USWNT are all star track athletes.
Clearly someone has an axe to grind here. I'm not sure if their kid is a highly technical player overlooked for athletes or a athletic kid with little technical ability.
 Sure go look at any of their bios. They all ran track in high school and were really good. Any of one them could have gotten scholarships for track. Rapinoe, Press, etc they are all great mid distance runners.
Germany and the USA showed a trend of increasing distances covered at speeds >20 km/h as the tournament progressed In the final, the USA covered 12.1% more distance in its middle third than Japan, compared to 2011 when Japan covered 33.1% more distance in its defensive third than the USA Golden Ball winner Carli Lloyd covered a total of 11,685m at an average speed of 7.4 km/h, with an average maximum speed of 30.1 km/h (for comparison a horse can hit a max speed of about 70 km/h) Ali Krieger hit the highest maximum speed in the final of any player, reaching 34.7 km/h
https://www.starsandstripesfc.com/2016/7/19/12228846/most-interesting-fitness-stats-uswnt-2015-women-world-cup If you look around on track forums USWNT members names come up from time to time and their unofficial times are very impressive. There is not a slow player on the USWNT. They chose soccer over track at an early age. Do not kid yourself, if a girls shows up at a u15 tryout with world class speed she will make the team. It’s high school soccer.
