It depends. What were the circumstances when those girls called you ugly?  Were they being serious or were you girls fighting or arguing? Also, if  the “everyone “ who calls you pretty are related to you,  I’m sorry but those really don’t count.   [/quote]

I know. And I was only called ugly by other girls, I have been called cute or pretty by multiple men (good looking ones too!) so I really think it's fine. But I was like what the f, who says that?! [/quote]

I've been called beautiful by both men and women, ugly by women only (twice in my life, ouch), and "unattractive at first" once by a man (and I suspect others felt it but didn't say it). What does that make me? Everyone has different tastes I guess....[/quote]

She was anorexic to the point of being involuntarily hospitalized and my mother is a competitive narcissist whose instincts are to destroy the competition by attacking wherever they think will hurt the most.
