Right. And Obama was criticized then, as the article states. It's been a problem in the immigration policy area for awhile, although this situation is a little different in that the U.S. children were with other relatives and out in the community. Not a tent or a Walmart. However, it just underscores that our values don't change just because there is a different president.
What’s worse separating citizens from their parents or recent illegal aliens from their parents?
Immigration status doesn't matter. Family does. Humans do. Aren't you all supposed to be pro-family?
So you believe this for all crimes? Rob a bank and you can’t be separated from kids?
How is looking for asylum any near equivalent to robbing a bank?
JUst because you live in a gang infested neighborhood, you do not qualify for asylum. If you did, millions of people in Miami, L.A, Long Island, Detroit, Chicago could seek asylum in Canada.
So you have no answer to the question: how is seeking (whether or not you qualify) the equivalent of robbing a bank?
Because we have an established processed here for legal migration. One that entails paperwork in advance - just like Canada, England, Mexico, and dozens of other countries. So showing up on our border and demanding residency (paid for by me) is tantamount to committing an illegal act. Are we sad when drunk drivers are sent to jail and separated from their families?
You obviously aren’t, no surprise from a heartless con, but as for me, yes absolutely, especially if their children were sent to one of these facilities where no one could touch them and even siblings aren’t allowed to hug each other and where they have no idea where their parents are and can’t talk to them and have no clue where they themselves are and what is happening to them. Does that happen with children of drunk drivers?
