I agree. And I’m liberal and overall pro-immigrant, but MS-13 is a problem that must be dealt with. And sadly the gang often targets the very undocumented immigrants these ignorant people claim to support- the gang knows this group is vulnerable and afraid to speak up for fear of deportation.[/quote]

There was a story a while back about ICE trying to deport a teen who was a witness against the gang.  "And ICE put him in the same place that they put all of the suspected MS-13 members. So he's there now with people from his high school, with people from his same gang clique, and they've told him that he will be killed when he's released, whether it's to El Salvador or to Long Island."

And gang members are saying that the admin's immigration rhetoric and policies are helping them, by making witnesses afraid to come forward.
