I wouldn't call the rest of America "homogenous and insufferable" but for sure, they are not as great for people of color as DC is. My husband and I are both from cities in the South (both cities have been talked about very favorably in this thread) but neither of us would move back and raise our kids where we grew up. DC has a long history and solid community of UMC African Americans, and it's nice not to be the only ones. [/quote]
