Tickets go on sale tomorrow for members of the Kennedy Center. The email and instructions they sent out have me incredibly stressed that I won't be able to get tickets. :( I've been a fan of Hamilton (the book the play is based on) since it was out in hard cover many years ago. And I love the soundtrack. Going to be so disappointed if I am unable to go. Just a first world problem, I know.
This is a touring company. If you didn't see it s year ago on Broadway..,.
Oh I see, if we didn't shell out the big bucks to travel to NYC and see the original cast, it's not "really" Hamilton. GTFO of here.
I agree PP. We were lucky enough to see it in NY with the original cast, and then again last summer in Chicago. The Chicago show was just as good and in some ways even better. I thought it had a lot more humor (the King George in Chicago was OUTSTANDING) and we're big Karen Olivo fans since her In The Heights days. She plays Angelica in the Chicago production. I also thought the Chicago Eliza was better than Phillipa Soo. Leslie Odom Jr. and Daveed Diggs were the big highlights of the original cast. All of these casts are attracting super-talented people so I think any show you see will have great talent.
