Equal rights and "putting my group first" are two different things.

If you look at a policy or government expenditure first as "is this good for my group first" that has nothing to do with equality.  If you want equality in front of the law, or equal treatment by the government I think many will stand together for it.

I'm only somewhat interested in the answer because the real issue for those trying so hard to make this about race is that multiculturalism has already happened.  The power dynamic in the world order has already shifted.

You can tell who didn't get the memo because they're still talking about history and empires.  Everyone one else sees this as something beyond American and is moving on.  MAGA is a huge bust.

White guys hoping to hang on to white power would do better to look at the emerging cultural and political threat coming from women.  That's a group realizing their strength across race, SES, nationalities and even gender.
