Well, I actually know many women over 40 with long hair, and they look great. My Iranian friend with long wavy hair is 42 and she looks fabulous. My Vietnamese friend who is 43 rocks  straight med-long hair. It really depends on the person. I have long, wavy hair and I'm in my 40s. I can't have hair above my shoulders without looking like a mushroom. Wish I could but the texture of my hair just doesn't work that way. Every hair stylist that I've been to all say I look better with longer hair. [/quote]
