According to Clapper this morning, to his knowledge, there was no FISA warrant to tap Trump. As such, either he is making it up, or Obama did something illegal. Where is there proof that there was any tapping at all? Are they going to do endless investigations into the previous administration to undermine the IC? Because there otherwise would be no reason for this. The same committees who brought on the endless Benghazi hearings would then be in charge of endless hearings illustrating the failure of the national security and law enforcement communities, while portraying Trump as a victim and this consolidating his power. Jeez, this is nefarious.
Warrantless wiretapping is even more serious if proven to be true. Clapper is in the thick of the whole plot. Congress needs to subpoena WH daily intelligence report from last year to see Obama's involvement.
The point is, there is no proof whatsoever that there has been any wiretapping at all. So how do you prove a negative? This is a baseless distraction that the Trumpers are eating up. Weak minds and all. The President was unequivocal in his assertion that the Obama had tapped his phones. Where is the proof of this? Maybe let's start with that.
This appears to be the same line of defense for Obama on all major networks. But they didn't ask for any hard evidence when they started the witch hunt on Trump and his associates. It's not that hard to prove the existence of wiretapping. Obama didn't even deny that yesterday. Congress can start from the intelligence leaks some of which were intercept content. They can also look over the WH daily intelligence report.
