The worst kind of logical fallacy.  Ok - citizens commit crime.  We're kind of stuck with that.  But we are not stuck with illegal immigrants who commit crime.  Or frankly, legal immigrants who commit crime.  When you come to the United States, it is a privilege, not a right.  Should the standards be higher?  Yes.  And yes, identity fraud (using false Social Security number), perjury (when you sign government documents with false information), welfare fraud (signing up for benefits for which you are not eligible - even when the government tells you on the form that they won't check your citizenship), providing a false address to get "free care" in a hospital, etc. are all crimes for which citizens would be prosecuted.  So yes, virtually all illegal immigrants are "criminals," even if you discount the administrative crime of entry.[/quote]
