I am sure the City will make such an arrest, when they have a policeman free to do so.  Since they do not seem to have the resources to have a policeman regularly present at the arterial near my house, where people regularly speed, often make illegal right turns on red without stopping, and sometimes just run the red light I would suggest that may be some time. I am not sure I follow what you wrote, but no the police will not make that kind of arrest according to their policies to date.  ICE will have to come and do it.  I live in Alexandria as well, and I agree the traffic enforcement and pedestrian safety are HUGE problems here (if that's what you mean).  Get more involved in the local government, ask council members about the policy.  And take your issues re traffic to the pedestrian advisory board (I am serious).  [/quote]

What I mean is they are priorities. Until such time as there is a policeman watching for traffic infractions at EVERY dangerous intersection in the City, that is a priority over doing errands for ICE. [/quote]
