Yeah he was on borrowed time, infliction of injury conviction, should have come up or would have come up when he tried to renew his green card. At which point he would have been detained until his case was heard, at which point he would probably have been deported. Which makes his parents extra stupid for voting for Trump.

We have rules that are reasonably clearly spelled out, about what crimes can lose your LPS status.  Trump is just arbitrarily removing people, which is not okay.  An unreliable and arbitrary government is unAmerican.  Which is why everyone is so alarmed.[/quote]

I bet these folks are just as anti-immigrant as they ever were even when it affects their own family    no one who watched Trump's first term would have thought that this term would have been helpful to anyone in any way.   They knew what a vote for Trump would mean.

Unless you are Rich enough to buy some special favors from the Trump administration, you are screwed along with everybody else.  That is most people.  And that was very obvious before election day.[/quote]
