The thing that I personally find very frustrating is that Trump tried to overthrow an election and has been very clear for a very long time that he intended to do other illegal and unconstitutional things. People didn't listen or they didn't believe him or whatever - but, like, him turning out to be a scumbag grifter who flouts laws and conventions? That is exactly zero amount of surprising.

On the one hand, I feel for these people. I have to assume they don't have good educations and are in some kind of bubble where liking Trump is normal. On the other hand - seriously, it was all right there. At some point the onus is on you to actually pay the slightest bit of attention. Hopefully they'll vote differently next time. And their kid won't wind up in El Salvador.
