As was said many times by someone else, the War ends when Russia decides to pull out of Ukraine.  It's as simple as that!

WEST DESTROYING RUSSIA:
Russia is destroying itself.  Aside from providing weapons and supplies, the West really hasn't done anything except stand around and watch this abomination continue.  However, after watching this clip, I have no doubts, reservations or apprehensions anymore that the Ukrainians are doing a righteous service for the entire world and should be honored as such.

LAST 20 YEARS:
Russia has not been a good global citizen.  The Russian Government continues to undermine other governments, invade it's neighbors, and has committed just about every war crime possible.

US PROMISE NOT TO EXPAND NATO EAST:
NATO didn't expand, until Russia became a War Criminal.  Finland, Sweden had no intention of joining NATO prior to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, so who's fault is that?

Like many Ukraine supporters, your grasp of the truth is tenuous.

First is that American bases in Germany are most definitely there as a result of invasion or are we just pretending WWII never happened?

Second is that NATO was expanding before Putin was ever president. Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland were all admitted to NATO in 1999. The expansion into the Baltics also began before Putin was president.

Third is that Russia has been no worse a global citizen than any number of nations, including the US or Israel. Nations that have invaded other nations and undermined governments around the world.

Fourth is that Finland had been moving closer to NATO since the 1990s, having entered a partnership in 1994, conducting joint military drills and aligning their military equipment and structure to match NATO since then. Sweden is similar in that it is already a NATO partner and uses compatible hardware and structure. These were all moves after the cold war ended. [/quote]

First, if the Germans asked us to close bases, we would; but they wanted a slower closure rate than the US did.  I think it had to do with the impact on their economy?

Second, if you recall, Russia had representatives at NATO back then to monitor.  In fact, Russia was in Sarajevo with OSCE (in the Baltics) during the Bosnian elections in 1996 to ensure the Serbs were treated fairly, so not sure what your point is?

Third.. you feel nothing for the people who were caught in this fire?  It really shows just how unsalvageable people are in Russia, doesn't it?

I can understand why the Russian Government would be upset that a standard Patriot missile can shoot down a state-of-the-art Russian hypersonic missile.  It's kind of embarrassing, don't you think?  Calls into question whether or not the SATAN II would work or not, right?  I mean, if the best-and-brightest don't want to work for the Russian Government, it's somewhat understandable.

I would point out that while you think about that, just remember that NATO hasn't fired a single shot at Russia.  The question you need to ask yourself is whether NATO bluffs and weather NATO weaponry can be intercepted?  Russia isn't doing so hot against the HIMARS and that's 80's technology.
