The problem is Ukraine has to use its own weapons to blow up stuff in Russia so it will be a while for the fun to begin.
That wouldn't be fun at all. Notwithstanding Putin being a fascist aggressor who ordered an unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, those Russian cities are packed full of men, women, and children that I assume I would like very much if I ever got a chance to know them.
You are correct. The previous statement was no doubt written by someone who has never been endangered by any sort of war, and is not planning to go and help Ukraine fight.
I hear some of this sentiment from those who had left Ukraine many years ago (citing corruption, low quality of life, antisemitism and what not) but now are suddenly full of bloodthirst to those who have nothing to do with decision making and are suffering from those decisions (though yes to a much lesser extent than many Ukrainians).
DP what bullsh#t answer. Russians need to feel the full horror of what they have done in the Ukraine. It is past time to destroy Russians civilian infrastructure and target civilians through out Russia.
Should Americans feel what the Vietnamese or Japanese felt?
Lol, someone doesn't know anything about the Japanese in WW2 or the Viet Cong.
But enough about the distraction. What's the current line on the Pirozghin revelations? Was he trying to double cross Shiogu or the Ukrainians? There's been quite a few Colonels and above targeted over the last few days. Did your guy give up the coordinates?
Words words words.
You think it was ok for kids and old people in Hiroshima to die? It was all worth it, right?
Wow you guys work fast. I just heard about tonight's unstoppable hypersonic khinzal and came to laugh about how last century's patriot missile batteries shot them down again. But you all were on top of things and ready. Kudos to your work ethic. It must be so difficult to keep up appearances these days.
This is a very tired tactic of accusing anyone who doesn’t agree with you of being a troll
I simply don’t think that there is joy in children dying
😂 The joy is in people not dying because 6 of Russia's big super weapon got shot down. You should be very happy about that.
I am happy about anything that stops further death and destruction.

You disagreeing is not an issue. The issue is that people like you constantly repeat Russian propaganda talking points. It's tiresome. You're not being a critical, original thinker. You're just parroting the lies the Russian government is spreading through social media.
But it's not like there's only one set of talking points in this space, is it? Ukraine has its own propaganda machine and it is churning out material nonstop. There's no much original thought there either. Everyone is parroting someone.
I understand that Ukraine is churning out propaganda, but I also understand, because I'm not an idiot, that there's no "two sides" to this conflict. Anyone who thinks there is, is falling for Russian propaganda that is intended to break the resolve of the US and our allies to support an (imperfect) democracy in a war of national survival. Maybe we've gotten used to ambiguous wars, because the US has fought in so many of them. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is not one of them.
I have to wonder what someone is thinking if they look at this conflict and conclude that somehow Ukraine is more than 5% responsible for the war. And that Russia has some legitimate points.
You’re probably chatting with an AI bot or someone paid to post pro-Russia dialogue if you see something overly supportive. That’s the truth. There are literal buildings filled with paid trolls who either seek to distract or do a firehose of propaganda in forums where the topic of the Russian invasion of Ukraine is being discussed, so the topic ends and posters just give up talking. It appears to be happening here as well. Just ignore them and bring the conversation back into focus.
If only. The sad truth is that Russia's propaganda arsenal is as outdated as its munitions. They won't even allow pro-Russia dissidents to use derelict .SU domains. They are essentially not fighting an info war at all because their country is run by Russian boomers. The accusations of Russian propaganda is pure projectionism. Look up the Smith-Mundt Modernization act and learn how it became legal for the US government to aim their propaganda at a domestic audience.
What you are up against are a ragtag bunch of isolationists, peaceniks and nationalists. Many of us feel NATO is the real aggressor here, with the 2014 coup and subsequent shelling of the Donbass as the start of this conflict. There are even some hardcore leftists on our side. Its a real awkward band of brothers, but you oppose warmongers with the allies you have, not the allies you want.

So, then, what do you propose? Let me guess: “a glorious unification again between the people’s of Ukraine and Russia. They were both once technically Russian and so, if Ukrainians lay down their arms, they can again become part of great empire.”???
Is that about right? I mean obviously you’re just thinking about the children and a a concerned poster. You’re definitely not a paid Russian propagandist or AI bot programmed or ordered to spread a message of peace.
We all want peace. Russia out of Ukraine is the way to achieve that.

Yes they gave a bs answer. Yes it would be a great bit of schadenfreude for the Russian population, that is so full of blood lust that they cheer on and celebrate rape, torture, and the bombing of kindergartens, to feel the suffering they have imposed on others themselves. Nevertheless, it is not in Ukraine's interests to do so. Besides, the Russian Army rapes themselves constantly, both literally and figuratively. Of course that doesn't mean that a sojourn through Belgorad is off the table or that bases in Rostov are unacceptable targets.
I know quite a few Russians and they are scared and sad about this war.
It was not their choice.
I know there are different ones too but they aren’t all like that.
I know it’s a thing to hate on Russians now though
Lol, Russians aren't victims. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5yvjyJdDW0
Many are.
Many didn’t choose the war
Nah. This is not Iraq. And Iraq is the last war in a 100 years that is suspect for an American “invasion”. Even if Iraq was unjustified America still was not as evil as Russia in the execution of the war. And Iraq was after America went thru 9/11; which was not an ideological attack- it was a real attack.
Russians have been orcs/savages long before February of 2022; just now the world gets to see how despicable their culture and government really is.
Russia has been doing this (on a smaller scale) for over 20 years; they just got caught being greedy and are back to being the scourge of the planet with North Korea.
Most Russians don’t care for the war. They want to be left alone
Many Russians care enough to send their own sons to die for the war.
And Putin’s support among the Russian people is well over 75%.

So the Russian news is now only for Russian consumption? Interesting.
The war "is fateful for us," Shakhnazarov said, "our political elites have to realize this. We should start admitting that this is not simply a special military operation but a war. If we lose this war, we will disappear" like some Native American tribes which "have simply vanished." He went on to suggest that defeat for Moscow's forces in Ukraine would lead to books being written about "how Russia lost itself and Eurasia." Solovyov chimed in to say he hoped Ukraine understood that "if we lose, we are taking the whole world with us." "Let me remind you what the Supreme Commander said, 'who needs the world if Russia isn't in it?'" Solovyov said, referring to a quote by President Vladimir Putin. The anchor then went on say that Russia should use its nuclear weapons, shed restrictions against testing and "convincingly demonstrate what we have."

Like many Ukraine supporters, your grasp of the truth is tenuous.
First is that American bases in Germany are most definitely there as a result of invasion or are we just pretending WWII never happened?
Second is that NATO was expanding before Putin was ever president. Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland were all admitted to NATO in 1999. The expansion into the Baltics also began before Putin was president.
Third is that Russia has been no worse a global citizen than any number of nations, including the US or Israel. Nations that have invaded other nations and undermined governments around the world.
Fourth is that Finland had been moving closer to NATO since the 1990s, having entered a partnership in 1994, conducting joint military drills and aligning their military equipment and structure to match NATO since then. Sweden is similar in that it is already a NATO partner and uses compatible hardware and structure. These were all moves after the cold war ended.
First, if the Germans asked us to close bases, we would; but they wanted a slower closure rate than the US did. I think it had to do with the impact on their economy?
"The United States Army has 40 military installations in Germany, two of which are scheduled to close. Over 220 others have already been closed, mostly following the end of the Cold War in the 1990s. "
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_Army_installations_in_Germany
Second, if you recall, Russia had representatives at NATO back then to monitor. In fact, Russia was in Sarajevo with OSCE (in the Baltics) during the Bosnian elections in 1996 to ensure the Serbs were treated fairly, so not sure what your point is?
Third.. you feel nothing for the people who were caught in this fire? It really shows just how unsalvageable people are in Russia, doesn't it?

Fourth, Finland and Sweden freaked out after their civilians saw what Russia did to Ukraine. Did you expect them to 'lie down' as well? Heh. Sorry you're so disappointed. Not everyone loves having borscht shoved down their throats.
Ukrainians fought hard to claim borsht as their own national dish. So the joke's on you.

Ukraine asked UNESCO to consider borsch as its "intangible cultural heritage" long before the war. On Friday, because of the war, the United Nations culture agency said for the first time it inscribed a cultural heritage element for safeguarding "as a matter of extreme urgency."
