Who cares what you *think*? Maryland has laws setting ages for drinking, smoking, driving, etc. AND for walking home alone from the park...and the cops and freaking CPS have already personally told this specific family about the pertinent law and told them that letting their kids walk to the park alone isn't ok. What more do you people need to hear about this??? The law is what it is. Work to change it if it bothers you, but don't drop your kids off in DTSS alone unless you want to deal with CPS. Period. Please provide a link to Maryland's law setting an age for walking home alone from the park, comparable to Maryland's law setting an age for alcohol consumption, tobacco smoking, driving, etc.
