No, this is not true. Democrats won't vote for an election saboteur nor someone who will not partner in good faith. If GOP put up one of the handful of non-election deniers a Speaker, Dem would consider it.

Definitely not 'both sides'-ing this. Was just trying to explain to the PP that it's not as simple as 'They only need to get a few Rs on their side'. It ain't happening. Hell, the Rs can't even get everyone on their side, on their side!

As for who the Democrats can trust, I don't know if there is anyone left. And any Republican that gets speakership based on Democratic votes, will lose their next primary.[/quote]
