No one is saying it's justified to rape anyone at any time, drunk or not. They are saying that you're exposing yourself to all kinds of bad possibilities when you're too drunk to know your surroundings or what's going on.[/quote]

I'm starting to wander if the posts about not getting drunk are coming from just one or 2 people. I think everybody understands how drinking can cause many bad things to happen, but it feels like every few posts is shoving this point down our throats.

I think it's in response to the posts that say alcohol is a red herring, does not matter, is irrelevant.  If all rape is rape, then a girl cannot and should not take any steps to protect herself, incuding not drinking way too much alcohol.  In many situations, a girl cannot protect herself from rape, but in some instances she can.  [/quote]
