Except for a very small subset in intelligence roles, the names of federal employees is widely accessible. As it should be. Federal employees work on behalf of the American people and are accountable to them.

In sensitive security-related roles. They’re more akin to FBI agents than to Interior, for example, and therefore ought be afforded the same protections.

Moreover, there’s a clear risk here. See Luigi, Kirk, Dallas ICE shooting, etc., etc. No doubt that this disclosure will endanger people’s lives.

Not only ICE and their families, but anyone ICE perceives as a threat—as you may have noticed, ICE is not known for its restraint.
