That's your perspective. Many would say that giving blacks preference for jobs, college admissions, government grants and contracts, and housing programs, over the course of many decades, was fixing the wrongs, and many blacks have succeeded because of all of those opportunities.  But yes, we understand that the "fix" you now want for those that didn't take advantage of all of those opportunities is big, fat reparations checks.[/quote]

DP:  Honestly, I’d be happier with genuine community investment (We got “separate “ but never “equal “) and [b]genuine acknowledgment of the history of the US — starting with elementary school texts[/b]. You have no idea about the teaching of U.S. history in this country - that is apparent.  It is nonstop injustice starting with the "Three Worlds Meet" unit until the Contemporary era, with focuses on expanding the definition of "We the People" and expanding civil rights.  [/quote]
