I can see it as more of a "look what I did and got away with" bad girl attitude to try to impress new friends.

I worked at VS while in college and we hated it when a gaggle of teen girls would come in.  If you didn't watch them like a hawk and physically count each pair of panties going in the changing room and coming out, they would steal.  Even then, a rare day at work would be only finding one pair of someone's old panties lying in the changing room instead of multiple pairs.  We even had a little "grabber" that was sold on an infomercial at the time to pick them up because our GM got upset with how many rubber gloves we were going through.  [/quote]
