[/quote] +1 The issue here isn't so much flight as affordable housing RE development. There has been "white flight" east of the county (w/ the exception of Takoma Park), but it appears its just migrating west of the county. Thus the main reason for the uptick in segregated schools. On a separate note, I would be curious to see how profitable these affordable housing developers are in this area. MD is not business or landlord friendly for residential and commercial RE business owners. In fact, its extremely tenant friendly. I can't imagine that the margins would be worth it.
