Again could very depending on the jurisdictions involved. [/quote] It's usually state law. 20 years ago my DH and I had our wills and estate work done up by a D.C. lawyer. We named a D.C. resident as our executor. WE live in VA. D.C. lawyer didn't know the law. We had to redo the wills and name a virginian as executor. [/quote]
