It's waterfront is like a strip for college kids looking for cheap beer and it's not very pretty. Charleston's downtown waterfront has beautiful houses and a lovely park. Then a couple of blocks away are shops and restaurants. [/quote] Charleston is hands down more commercialized than Savannah. So you avoid River St. and there is a lot more green open space in Savannah with historic homes.[/quote]
