Maybe some of you are more articulate than I am. But I need someone to give me a pithy, smart explanation for the following: 1. Why is it important for the President to be a civil person? 2. When I talk to Trump supporters, they cite his business "success," as if you don't need to act like a freaking human being as long as you have a lot of money. I just can't with this nonsense anymore.
Support for Trump shows this isn't important to everyone. 1. I do believe civility is important but George W and Dick Chaney lied repeatedly in very civil tones about reasons for starting war in Iraq. 2. Don't talk to Trump supporters. You won't change their minds. They are like the people who don't believe in the scientific evidence for vaccines. If you want to try to convince anyone--try talking to undecided voters in swing states or help in getting people to the polls on election day. That's what matters!
I still think it's an important point to make, whether to a Trump supporter or an undecided.
