Our daughter was accepted to a private school for next year and there has not been any communication from the school. No prearranged play dates for new students, no check ins, no directory information, nothing. We received a summer reading book. We haven't even started and we already feel so out of the loop that we are beginning to wonder if we made the right decision by choosing this particular school. I was advised by another parent not to call to ask any questions because the school looks down on parents who need too much guidance or handling, but I'd like to make arrangements for a play date at least.
I'd be nervous of both the lack of communication, and the parent's comment. We loved all the summer events and group playdates that my son's school had when he started. Really helped ease him in. Are you getting any emails from the school? Are you sure they have your email correct?
