I think you need to chill...you will get the information within plenty of time for your kid to be prepared for school. No prearranged play dates for new students, no check ins, no directory information, nothing. We received a summer reading book. We haven't even started and we already feel so out of the loop that we are beginning to wonder if we made the right decision by choosing this particular school. I was advised by another parent not to call to ask any questions because the school looks down on parents who need too much guidance or handling, but I'd like to make arrangements for a play date at least.
