And it's a valid concern, even if she expressed it snidely. There are a lot of DC charters who pay a lot of lip service towards attracting a disadvantaged population... who don't really want that. Breakthrough makes hay in its Charter application about serving a diverse community but then locates where it knows it will get disproportionate white enrollment, and then apparently does not make much of an effort to create a diverse admin team, and now wants to "celebrate diversity." I can see how that would gall. [/quote]
