I hate to burst your bubble, but there were two witnesses (the Swedish grad students) who stopped him in the middle of raping her when it was so clear that the girl was not moving and was unconscious. They chased him and tackled him to the ground when he tried to run away. If he's simply having consensual sex then why run? Also, he was convicted by a jury of 3 counts of sexual assault (I don't remember the exact charges, but there were multiple). I don't think there is any doubt that this kid sexually assaulted this girl, except in his own mind (and that of his parents).

And to the OP's point, that letter was truly painful to read! That kid had absolutely no business being at Stanford or any other top school for that matter.[/quote]
