They do “centers” and rotate through the centers each day.  I like that the kids choose which centers they want to do by putting their name on the board by the center they wish to sign up for – they are gaining some independence in making choices.

There is a different theme each week, and my daughter has really learned a lot.  Her reading, writing, and math skills really took off recently, and we weren't even expecting or intending that she learn to read, write, or do addition/subtraction so early (I'm not worried about this at age 4!) - I think it's the way they break into small groups for the "centers" and she often chooses the writing and math center.[/quote]
