I have 30 vacation days a year. I take 5 weeks off every summer. Find a job with a ton of vacation and save it all year. That takes care of half the summer.
what field?
I work in an obscure area so I don't want to say, but it doesn't matter. I work for the World Bank. Every staff member starts with 26 days., then 28 at 5 years and 30 at10 years. While I am at a fairly high level, it doesn't matter. Since it is an international organization, people at all levels tend to take several weeks off at a time. Not everyone takes 5 weeks but 3 or 4 is fairly common. August is so dead around that office the most of the cafeterias close a couple of the stations.
