Going to the orientation doesn't mean the child will attend even if they received placement.  Our orientation is tomorrow, and we have not decided whether child will be going to center or not. So the poster could honestly respond 'I'm not sure' and leave it at that.

Also it appears that not all orientations are for the kids as our notice said orientation was for parents only.---plus its at 10am so that in itself isnt encouraging kids to  attend[/quote]

This is different for us.  Our base school is the center.  If we saw a classmate there, then we would assume the child was in and would be attending AAP at the base/center school since the other option would be no AAP at all.  I would have absolutely said to my child that maybe x will be in your class next year.[/quote]
