I wouldn't go to the Burj Al Arab hotel.  You can only get in if you're a guest or have reservations at one of the restaurants and it is really nothing more than an overdone guilded orgy of gold.

Go drive out the Palm Jumeirah.  The scale is unreal and the resorts are jaw-dropping.

If you are a massage person, there are tons of luxury spas, like at the Al Qasr hotel where, for a pretty reasonable amount, all of your stress can be pampered away.

Rent a car and drive to Abu Dhabi and see the Grand Mosque.  It is really fascinating (including the world's largest Persian carpet).

It is an interesting place.  If you like art, the Majlis Gallery is good, as are the new galleries in the Al Quoz district (those ar tougher to find).

Go on a desert safari.

2 days should be enough to see everything.  Have fun.
