I have a hs freshman with significant disabilities who has an IEP. Dc has had an iep since 2nd grade. Dc had neuropsych testing done in 2013. Is that recent enough to satisfy part of the documentation to request accomodations for testing? Do we need to redo the full scale of testing? Any advice and information about your experiences are helpful. Thanks.
We submitted College Board May of DC's freshman year to get accommodations in place before fall of sophomore year PSATs, plus DC was taking one AP class sophomore year. His most recent evaluation was January of his 8th grade year and it fell within the guidelines (some are within 5 years some are within 3 years). He has multiple LDs and AHDH. We received everything was asked in a very timely manner (within a month of submission). May might be a good time since submission for that school year would have already been done and people might not be thinking about fall of the next quite yet. For whatever reason, we did OT have to wait very long at all, which was a welcome change to nearly everything else we have encountered regarding DC's issues. :) Also be prepared to do one senior year for college accomodations (not applications).
